The last time I spoke to Sabeer, he was busy with the Nanocity in punjab, near Chandigarh. The news in that front doesn’t look so good. Lets just say there has been extraordinary delay in acquiring the land for the project.
The project was to be spread over 11,000 acres and has since been curtailed to 2,000 acres but no land has been acquired. The Haryana government has given a final notice where the project is to acquire at least 500 acres by end of November.
But the last few years have not been so good for the real estate sector, so lets not judge this project based on the last couple of years of extraordinary turmoil.
I won’t be surprised if it is scrapped. I think the liquidity crunch has changed a lot of ambitious plans.
