This Bollywood beauty looks hot in a yellow sari with a narrow beaded border and small flowers all over. The halter neck blouse is quite a knockout with a spider web pattern of straps in the back meeting in the central motif. Anybody know who this actress is (this was at the iifa)?

This picture personifies utter simplicity. Blue sky, white sands and a gentle breeze.
Bhoomika Chawla wears a black chiffon sari with the basic halter neck blouse. The only adornment are black bangles and the cascading dark hair.

Priyanka Chopra scintillates in black and silver. Her sari, as well as every accessory is perfectly coordinated – it is almost too perfect!
The sari is a black net with an embroidered border, and sprinkled with the slightest hint of silver sequins. The blouse is heavily beaded in black and silver with pretty beaded spaghetti straps. The black and silver metallic choker has strings of hanging beads. The churis are color coordinated with an interesting mix of patterns and textures. The bindi and the silver nails – with black dots of course – completes the theme.

Actress Anushka Shetty looks sultry in a black chiffon sari. The blouse design is interesting — the off one shoulder design has an added spaghetti strap on the left side. The bottom of the blouse has an off-center reverse V line. The asymmetric sequin embroidery with a peep hole and tie up on the left side look interesting. The black chiffon sari is a simple prop for the dramatic blouse.

Actress Sushma Reddy dares to be bare in a fetching blouse trimmed with rhinestones. The hot pink sari is pretty as well, but with the back view like that, who noticed?
Sexy Ria Sen looks alluring on the catwalk, in an unusual cotton sari and a halter neck blouse. Her face and look are reminiscent of her glamorous grandmother, the famous Suchitra Sen, whose had the most haunting and expressive pair of eyes that ever graced the Indian movie screen.

That being said, this is a really weird sari. It has most colors under the sun, and that too combined in a really ugly fashion. The sari started out by being a typical handloom Bengali “Taant” sari, but got an added-on fish scale like appliqué border. And as if there was not enough cacophony going on with the sari, the blouse adds new clashing tones of brown and green, which are not even in the sari.
This sari should not reflect Riya’s taste – on the catwalk, you pretty much have to wear what you get. All I would say to the designer is – make up your mind!
One of the most memorable sequences of the movie Dil Se was the song Jiya Jale with Preity Zinta and Shah Rukh Khan. Preity wore a traditional half sari in the style of those worn by fisher women in Kerala. The sari coupled with a very short blouse and has a more tailored look, and does away with the pallu.
