Not my favorite saree blouse, but just wanted to point out the design.
Here is how it looks in the front.

There are four most beautiful women in Sri Lanka, competing for the miss Sri Lanka 2008 title; and observe the blouse design for each of the saree; they are EXACTLY the same. It’s like the same tailor put them to gather in different colors.
Here are a couple of more pictures of the debutantes; and all of them have exactly the same style of blouse.
Why is that? I can’t believe that the pageant would require them to wear that, so there must be another deeper reason.

Hate this saree blouse and all others that are in the same genre of
ta-ta (*oob) blouses!
At times you might want to show your endowments and may be even accentuate them, but this is really really tacky and slutty way to do it.
If you want to add a different color to your blouse, there are plenty of other opportunities; be a blouse Picasso and draw whatever you want; but don’t be a graffiti hacker drawing sophomoric female body parts.
This style comes from the dancing girls in the mughal court, and sure enough, if you want to look a little bit like a dancing girl, you can try it; but for others, dance away from this style.

If there was a proper saree competition, as there should be, you can tell who will win here.
The one on the left has too much exposed, and somehow lacks grace; one of the right has taken the shortcut of wearing a saree with pre-wrapped thing; the person who is wearing the saree right is the one in the middle and that is:
Parvathy Omanakuttan – the winner of not just this competition of miss India south but of the Miss Femina miss India 2008 crown.

Of course I have seen plenty of blouses that match the design or embroidery or the sparkles of the saree, most of them do not continue to the back of the blouse.
Here is an example, where the blouse back picks up design elements from the saree in a very intricate embroidery and a unique cut.
The gold chains in the back match with the gold geometrical shapes of the saree. The sparse but bold embroidery on the pallu provides the inspiration for the embroidery and color choices on the back.

The richness of the detailed work on the blouse gives it a luxurious look and always looks great with a saree with zari on it.
