It was going to happen sooner or later; tube top as a saree blouse!
If you think I am going to start making a list of things that are wrong in this saree – you are mistaken; I don’t have that kind of time and it wouldn’t be fair either.
This is clearly a Sri-lankan or Indonesian picture. From the saree I think it looks more like a Sri-lankan.
What I look for in showcasing a saree here is “distinctiveness” and sure enough this saree, this drape, this blouse is distinctive.
It is a nice saree fashion photo, it may be “wrong” but it is amusingly beautiful.

Bold ethnic traditional colors, old world zardosi work mix it with a sexy backless blouse!
I am not absolutely thrilled with it; not every saree needs to and nor should it be paired with a backless saree blouse.
Saree with belt and high collared blouse
I am not a fan of a belt with a saree; the best thing that saree has is its fluidity and I think the belt constraints it. But aesthetically I don’t think belt looks out of place.
I especially like the blouse thought; the high collar look wonderful and self embroidery work is very detailed and very pleasing.

Nice, well coordinated pink saree; dual color is not that distracting and the blouse looks great. I think the crystal strands will stand up to regular movements well.

I have seen this done a few times. Use the saree blouse as an anchor to tuck in the saree pallu or at times, to hold on the anchal.
It makes for a great fashion photo shot, but I would not suggest that you try this for an outing.
No blouse is designed with the strength and structural integrity to have a part of the saree anchored to it. So don’t be tempted!
