I really admire this saree blouse design; it is innovative, it hides a lot, yet, it reveals a lot too! I am not convinced that the three straps holding the blouse will actually stay snug for an evening, but just focusing on the design element, it surely adds an exciting and unexpected twist to the saree blouse design.
The saree is from CBazaar

Nice alternative design with intricate embroidery! Glad to see some very light weight fabrics too; with right detailing, even the light weight fabric take on certain richness and depth.
I thought I’d highlight some interesting and innovating blouse (choli) designs from Satya Paul. 2008-2009 season.
The blouse design is not something that is independent of a saree; in fact very often it is the blouse design that makes the saree!
I have been meaning to do a comprehensive article of how to chose a design for your saree and hopefully I will get to it pretty soon. It is not as difficult as you think – it is only twice as difficult as going to an ice cream shop with 31 flavors and picking one.
I like the saree, but I like the blouse design even more.

I am pretty sure this is Avanitika Kapoor.
Thanks RagaLahari for the pic.
A user sent me this saree picture (thanks BM).
I really like the blouse design – the whole black and white, artsy look is very becoming.
I am pretty sure it is from Utsav Saree.
At the Maheka Mirpuri’s Bridal show, Bipasha walked the ramp. I know she is not wearing a saree, but the blouse Maheka had with Bipasha’s ensemble was something out of ordinary for sure.
It has so many things going for it; it has the asymmetry that I like, it has the gems, it has the play on colors, it has curvaceous shapes – and no, I am not referring to Bipasha, silly, I am referring the blouse design – pay attention!!!
