Nice to see women with certain poise and elegance. Click for a better view.
I wrote about the sari bar ad “six yards of attitude” from Sri Lanka, and it is reproduced below. It is one of my favorite saree ads.

I know, the picture has been rotated 90 degrees but it does look nice; makes the saree and pose look very dramatic – and that is the whole purpose of the advertisement.
This ad looks awfully plagiarized. Are they suggesting that the sarees in the ads have been designed by them?

This looks really nice- accomplishes the purpose of showing different colors and also shows that saree as wings for the pretty lady.

Love the way this picture looks! An interesting way of presenting the design of the pallu.
We do need innovative ways of showing off saree; some retailers do a better job than others.
I also understand that in favor of eye-candy, you are sacrificing clarity. For example, it is not clear how the blouse looks and what intricacies there are on the blouse design. I agree, but there are places to show of the details of the saree and there are places to show off the dream of the saree.
Different placement, different clientel, different target and hence the ads have to be different too.
Sarees are a big business and that has helped provide resources to make gorgeous saree ads.
A saree ad to inspire and dream. Saree is like a time machine, it transports you back (forward) to a different time and place.
I really like this ad; it does capture the imagination of a women.
As I have maintained, saree is not just 6 yards of fabric, it is a six yards of woven dreams.
