This one is really a pre-stitched, but it is conceivable that in olden days one could have draped a saree like this.
This is an interesting shot from Rambha’s upcoming movie.
Kareena Kapoor wore a fiery sheer red saree to the premier of 3 Idiots, her latest Bollywood hit which also stars Aamir Khan, Sharman Joshi, and R. Madhavan. It takes a lot for a flick to satisfy my tastes and this one was spot on. Though Kareena is not one of my favorites, Aamir Khan sure is. Plus, Sharman Joshi and R. Madhavan pair up well with Aamir Khan as a comic trio. The film’s plot, though comedic, has a great message that will hopefully hit home in India and to viewers across the globe: don’t give up on your dreams just for the sake of pleasing others.

Kareena looks hot and Aamir is quite dashing.

I see a pattern. Did these guys all color-coordinate their outfits?

A classic design; beautiful border, embroidery work on the saree and a blouse that matches with the work on the border – can’t go wrong with that.

Not my fav saree, but I do like the extra texture and unexpected color that the border trim provides. Embroidery looks exquisite and I think it stands out better because the rest of the saree is monotone and provides a solid base.

Sooo, how many of you participated in the Facebook status reveal – revealing the color of the intimate garment as the status message?
Well, I was happy to see that I have colorful friends with colorful taste. None of them said “coconut shells”, or “metallic steel” or “saran wrap”!!!
But if Mamta Mohandas in this picture were to write her status message as a one word, it would just say “fugly”….
In the trash the saree theme – there may be other themes more appropriate for this picture, but lets not go there.
Fluorescent green saree with an electric pink blouse – please, somebody pull the plug.

I find the large border, draped to cover the entire length of the body kind of distracting and unbalanced in terms of colors and proportions.
I think this is from a new Telugu movie Mouna Ragam.
