First we have Nandana in white saree with no blouse, a time travel to pre-modern times when blouse didn’t exist and women had to collect from local rivers and wells in clay pots.
Even though we see the dressing sense of women in ancient times as part of their customs or even religion, it majorly depends on the geography. For example, most women in india were part of working class and it is impractical to wear close-ended dresses such as gowns and corsets. Remember, there was no real escape from the heat and humidity in those times. Whereas in Europe, dress such as Nandana is wearing here was a taboo because of the cold weather conditions.
More often than not, Nandana sports a steel (or is it silver) chain around her waist. It is not always the same, she keeps changing them. So is that her fashion signature in a way?
