I like the concept – instead of making the saree in monotone with some sparkles thrown in – give it a little splash of color.

So the blue textured edging/border is meant to give more 3D look and a little contrast to otherwise monotone saree.

Ok, it is not a real jail – it is “the jail restaurant”, but I like the visual impact.’

Celina Jaitely looks very classy and exotic in this Columbia blue saree. This is kind of understated elegance for her and I like it.

As a saree, I hate this one – choosing any fabric and making it to a saree is tempting is mostly wrong and very rarely works.

On the other hand, she looks awesome – there is certain youthfulness to her face and to her demeanor. Is it because of the saree or despite of the saree? I think saree is adding something to her sexy look and who am I to argue with results?

After those hideous sarees, this is a definite improvement. She still hasn’t found her personal style with saree yet – please hurry up and get one or rent one.

What dark blue and dark green saree combo?! Were they just playing eeni-mini-miney-moe with the colors and picked two?

Especially with the highlights in her hair, the saree combo just looks out of place and incongruent.

Shilpa has perfected the art of wearing a saree below the navel (ok, way below the navel), without looking slutty.

I like this saree, period. There is an inherent glow to the saree and I like the mesmerizing pallu and understated border.

The design of the blouse is consistent with the theme of the saree and that is A-OK with me.

What I hate about this is that the execution of the blouse – seems like it is trying to provide support where she doesn’t need… let me just leave it at that.

Some might say that this saree is slightly outdated, may be, but as saree designs go, I like it.

Mouna Bhat in a black saree. I guess she is famous for being famous. She is fast finalists of Fame Gurukul, one of the most watched Indian reality television shows.

I speak fluent Gujarati and love gujarati culture in general (ok, still not fond of sugar in my dal, but rest of the stuff is pretty OK) but I never thought of gujarati women as very fashionable. All that has changed now.

Well, when something is trendy, everybody and her sister in law wants to do it.

I don’t think I particularly like it as much, but it is an interesting concept. Perhaps the design on the saree is not fully captured by the image so it looks a bit sparse.

Hate this saree for multiple reasons. The picture is from the anniversary bash that Sanjay Dutt threw and I am not sure if the saree does justice to the occasion. The neck looks really bare – like there is someone forgot to put on a necklace. The border on the saree and the blouse is distracting, the self colored design on the saree makes it look drab, shall I go on?

I like the inner blue border, which is of the design that is similar to the blouse print – nice! I like the tri-color border, it is interesting and gives a nice edge effect, but I am not sure about the pallu. Looks like an afterthought. This could have been an elegant thematic saree, but it has turned in to a mish-mash.

Half saree is seeing resurgence in south India, and Mikey approves.

The red and black seems a little non-discript and a bit busy, the green and cream white saree looks kind of elegant and hip.
