Kareena will be playing the title role in Madhur Bhandarkar’s Heroine releasing later this year, because Ash opted out (and put Madhur in financial trouble) due to her pregnancy.
The movie depicts rise and fall of a leading actress, from what i heard.
In that she is doing an item number called Halkat Jawaani.
From the pictures that we see here, looks like just an attempt to flaunt her flat midriff. But what we have seen in Madhur in the past, this film should have substance.
The often repeated and very much loved scenario of two lovers in rain. The female protagonist usually in a colourful and rain-soaked saree in arms of her man. Extra points here with the backdrop of the car and flower shop. But this is the 21st century and Big B no longer romances Smita Patil on-screen.
This is from a movie called “Hate Story”. I have seen it and more appropriate title would be “Revenge Story”. If you haven’t seen it, i wouldn’t ruin the plot points for you. But just to give you heads up, she is the protagonist and he is the antagonist.

And thus, on the sets of the 1981 comedy Chashme Buddoor, director Sai Paranjpe had to take it on herself to teach her hero how to puff his way into the scene. Captured by ace lensman Jagdish Aurangabadkar, this picture shows how Sai was a hands-on filmmaker. In India, where women smokers are still looked down upon, Sai had no qualms teaching her male lead actor Farooq how to smoke. As the two actors stare at their director, Sai lights up with a coir rope hanging from the cigarette shop. And those were the days when Coke had still not made its second entry into the subcontinent. So there was the celebrated replacement Cola – Campa! And there was Ship matches. And of course, there was the absence of designer wardrobe, director’s hats, and too many assistants. There was a saree-clad filmmaker who took the reins of her project and led it forward. And that, as we call it, makes history! “
So far I had chosen to ignore her. But recently it came to my attention that she is going to star in Jism 2 by Mahesh Bhatt. That sounds interesting!
Being in a hindi movie, she has to keep her clothes on. Also, being the lead actress in a movie, she has to act and not just be eye candy. In most of the movies directed by Mahesh Bhatt, women have a central role to play.
She might have been a porn star in Canada. But she can have a mainstream presence in India if she curbs her habit of taking off clothes in every photosession. She has got the required looks. Don’t know about her acting prowess.
She looks mighty fine in this red saree. But she is what she does. Even in this photoshoot, this is the last pic where she has kept it on. So i will stop here and post no more pictures from this photoshoot.
Not sure if this has been posted here before. Golden bangles, earrings and necklace go well with golden border. Overall the picture looks soothing.
My only complaint is that this looks too conservative, especially on a young celebrity like Asin considering the fact that she wore it during a wedding. Would have suited more on a 40-something actress.
I wasn’t sure about posting this. But in spirit of this blog of posting any saree pics that stand out for whatever reason, here it goes.
If you want to garner attention, only chutzpah isn’t enough. Skin show doesn’t have to be gaudy, it can be intelligent and eye-catching in a good way. Sadly that’s not the case here. This is only going to gather unwanted attention.
I don’t know who she is. Strangely enough, to me she looks quite comfortable in this dress. Atleast more comfortable than most aspiring starlets would be. She looks more comfortable wearing this than me looking at her in this dress.
If you want to do something outragous, do it with grace. With a red saree with green pallu and blouse, she looks like a slutty peahen, and that’s not a complement.
Whoever you are and wherever you are, I wanted to like you. To some extent, I do like “you”. But you disappoint me with your choice of clothing.
