Love the idea of Sari 24/7.
Amazon India Fashion Week’s upcoming season, autumn/winter 2017, brings the perfect platform to host Vogue‘s ‘Sari 24/7’, a collection featuring different versions of the nine-yard favourite by 50 of India’s most prolific labels including Manish Malhotra, Raw Mango, Abraham & Thakore, Rahul Mishra, Suneet Varma, Bodice, Huemn, Rara Avis, Payal Singhal, Anita Dongre, Nikasha, Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla and Kallol Datta. The aim of the runway show: to showcase the staple in all its avatars, and spotlighting its versatility. You’ll see unique drapes, handloom weaves, party-ready versions and cool-girl casuals too.
I am looking forward to seeing these pieces in more detail.

So I saw this headline ” THIS ARTIST SPRAY PAINTS WOMEN IN SAREES AND TURNS THEM INTO GODDESSES” – I had to click! right?
And it showed Ruby Subramaniam spray painting women in saree and changing them to Goddesses inspired air-spray paintings; sure! that was the headline, but I liked the original thought that Ruby had about why she was doing this: It is a project called “This Body is Mine”. Ruby explains that her initiative is all about women’s voices, their bodies and the respect they deserve as a feminine aspect of the human species.

And this particular project was to support Lena with the tag of #DefendLena, who was arrested for showing a movie about Srilankan atrocities in a country that objected to it.
You can support Lena by spreading awareness and in other tangible ways. http://komas.org/how-you-can-support-defendlena-campaign/
The last photoshoot did remind of Jasmine’s collab with HateCopy.
