Early 1960s Clothes in Delicate Colours

While Jackie is clearly the focus of the photograph, taken in March of 1962, it is the overall combination of colours that makes me love this image.  The architecture, flowers, clothing and even the onlookers’ shadows are a mix of refreshing shades of vanilla, tan, taupe, pale aqua, lavender, greys and greens.  The photograph is just luscious, and Indira looks stunning in the silk saree with its subtle, tone-on-tone geometric print.
