I don’t get a chance to watch as much TV as I would like, especially Indian TV, and the shows like Big Boss are not on my list of shows to watch, but at times you have to pause and take notice of the really amazing and interesting group of people that shows like these bring together.

The list of people in Big Boss 6 is just wonderful.

Cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu was the first to enter the house, with a rocking introduction by Bhangra-pop singer Daler Mehndi.

Southern actress Sana Khan, who was part of the “The Dirty Picture” remake, entered next, followed by actor-comedian Vrajesh Hirji.

Next was Sampat Pal, leader of women`s activist group Gulabi Gang. Though an unusual member on the show, Sampat received all house members extremely warmly.

There is another activist in the show – Aseem Trivedi, the controversial cartoonist, who was recently in news for his anti-corruption art works.

Small screen`s glamour girls Urvashi Dholokia and Aashka Goradia stepped into the house to add spark in the contestant line-up.
If their on-screen characters are anything to go by, they are sure to create some fireworks in the house this season.

Sayantani Ghosh of “Naaginn” fame too is a part of the show.

Actor Dinesh Yadav added the Bhojpuri flavour to the line-up this year, while celebrity hairstylist Sapna Bhavnani, known for her “bindass” and tomboyish, tattooed avatar, left everyone in the house quite intrigued.

The big surprise came with the entry of actors Delnaz Paul and Rajev Paul, who are now a divorced couple.

Proving once again that reality is stranger than fiction and nothing any writer ca dream of will ever match the fireworks real situation can create.

I wouldn’t mind spending a little time in a house with these ladies.

  1. I am a big fan of Sampat Pal. Her ability to analyse disadvantage and recognise its causes and then get others involved in solving the problems is extremely rare.To me she seems like a 21st C version of Rajmata Ahilya Bai Holkar.

  2. Sarees are the most wearable dress in all over India, It not only enhancing your beauty but also it make very good impression on other when it is your first or so on. Thanks for sharing such a post which I like to comment most.
