Lisa Ray will be familiar to many readers from the Bollywood films she appeared in in the late nineties and early noughties. In 2008 she moved back to Canada, where she was born and brought up. There she continued to act in film and TV before becoming a TV presenter. She met Jason Dehni, a Canadian banker and philanthropist and on the 20th of October they were married in a ceremony in Napa, California.
For the ceremony Lisa wore a western style white wedding dress (designed by Goa based designer Wendell Rodricks, a personal friend) but for the celebrations afterwards she wore this gorgeous Satya Paul saree.
We’re used to seeing dazzlingly colourful sarees from Satya Paul but this one shows a more subtle but equally confident use of colour. The delicate pink of the saree beautifully complimenting the gold sequined border.
I also think this picture epitomises a phrase that, I believe, Sunny has used on occasion, ‘a woman’s best accessory is her smile’.
