I was not a fan of Amira Singh, at least not of her earlier roles during the peak of her career. But I’ve developed a real appreciation of her middle-aged roles, specifically her nasty turns in the features “Kalyug” and “Shootout at Lokhandwala.” Her subtle performance as MInnisha Lamba’s mom in “Dus Khaniyaan” is quite memorable as well, even as short as it was.
