I like Deeksha Seth, she looks great in bikini and even better in a saree, but this idea of holding the pleats, offends me just a tad. Its not her fault,Its the saree and the construction and the fabric and the ironing and everything together that makes a saree flow the way it does, but still./.
Perhaps she is trying to protect her outfit from something dirty on the ground?
Holding the pleats is the best method of going up stairs!
But I agree with Sunny – it looks a bit too much like an excuse to be suggestive in front of a group of guys…. So inelegant!
Having just climbed up a small rural Rajasthan hillock In heels, holding the pleats is the way to go. Tho when carrying mine for stairs and functions, I tend to slide my thumb behind the pleats and rotate my hand outwards so that it doesn’t look like I’m behaving indecently.
