Loved this yellow Olympic saree!

And I strongly disliked Madhuri Honey, a gatecrasher as a part of the contingent. I hated her for so many reasons – who wears this red shirt and blue trousers when you know that the world is watching..
Not only a jarring misfit but an eyesore to India’s glorious culture and traditions.

I mean, the team was shown for ten seconds on TV and this woman with no taste, no shame and full of selfish self absorbed smile is the only thing world sees?!
I dislike this whole Olympic thing – I think 40% of the Olympics is exploiting kids. But lets not go there. This is a saree design blog not a political blog.
But as a design blog, I have to take strong exception at the gall of this woman to walk with the flag bearer in that hideous outfit.

To explore the thought of why not to like the Olympics, photographer Thomas Pindelski has said it well on his blog: http://pindelski.org/Photography/2012/07/19/sports-photography/
Did anyone find out who she was? spoilt the perfect picture
What on earth was she thinking! Is she not in this team? The sarees are lovely though.
Selfish and self-indulgent, I’d agree. I would also suggest that her inappropriate appearance “centre stage” indicates that she should be tested for a bipolar disorder.
Sunny, is there a difference in meaning when you write ‘sari’ as opposed to ‘saree’? Or are they just different orthographies for the same word?
The female players in sarees actually look ravishing. Take that female european tennis players!
