Amazing looks on Kajol just in the past two weeks.  Both are  contemporary designers’ work, worn at big events. The one at the left looks exactly like many 1960s sarees, sheer and worn tight, with no borders or pallu. In the ’60s they would have been the “new” synthetic fabrics.

To the right is a classic saree that gives no hint at all of its era.  It could have been woven a century ago – or last month.  Normally I do not venture into modern sarees, but these were so amazing, and on the same actress, that I had to share!
