Of course it could have been fitted better,

Flooded all over with stone buttis. White and sky blue stones and bugle beads embellished giant twin floral design with ornamental stone jhhumar crafted at the waist part next to the pleat part. Dazzling floral leaf inspired large motifs accentuated sporadically by both the borders. Framed with velvet patched leafy pattern border. Pallu corners also have fancy latkans. Comes with a highly embellished two piece blouse. High neck full sleeve outer part of blouse flourished intricately with sequin and stone floral design at back.

This looks more like an ad for a beauty product of some sort, but it was listed on eBay only as a postcard printed in Bombay. The artwork has a period charm not usually found after the 1930s or so. I like the subtle pattern on the saree that does not “clash” with a polkadot choli in a completely different color. Our lovely lady wears a red bindi and red lipstick, and adds reddish-pink flowers to the more traditional ornament in her marcelled hair.
