Another one of my fav piece from the Lamb’s Blood!
This cream colored silk charmeuse saree has a gold silk lace panel that peeks through. The contrasting blouse piece is a one of a kind silk print reminiscent of a Van Gogh painting.
“…the print reminds me of a Van Gogh painting and the whole concept falls in line with what I want this brand to be (inspired by art, pop culture, music, and fashion).” says Shafali, the creative designer behind Lamb’s Blood.
“I made the sari first and it was also the very first sari I made. It is very simple. People might freak out because I have a couple of saris with unadorned pallus and this is one of them. However this silk charmeuse is so elegant, I thought about doing something to the pallu, but I found it to be just as nice without it. The lace panel is a very high quality lace with a touch of green in it. Just like Agent Sphinx, it can be worn so that the lace is the patli or worn with the lace wrapping around the hip. So when I went fabric hunting for the blouse, I knew I wanted something like a contrasting green silk and I found this print. I struggled with it for a while, wondering if it even looked good with the sari, and I have decided yes it does. I find so much beauty in straddling the line of contrast and mismatching.” - Shafali

“Wow! Wah-how! Wowee-wow!”
Those were the only words I could utter for several minutes upon looking at this ensemble.
Oh my goodness–this is splendid! Only one word comes to mind: Wow!
The saree is awesome! I’m normally a fan of mismatch, but I’m not feeling this blouse, perhaps because I don’t see the green in the lace. Don’t like the accessories either.
