Neha Ahmed : I always find these names that have hindu first names and muslim last name very fascinating. What does it say about her background? what does it say about her parent’s lives? Is it just a stage name?

Neha Ahmed is a top model in Pakistan, and that sort of adds to her allure. If you think India is a country of contradiction, Pakistan is a country of irreconcilable contradictions.

Some days I wished India and Pakistan would fight not through guns but more like ‘food network star”, or food network challenge. Lets see who can make the best Biryni, and who can make the smoothest kabobs in the regions.

Miss India 2011 Vasuki Sunkavalli : Best contemporary saree picture

I am pretty sure I have posted this picture before. But at that time, it was for the distinctiveness of the saree. Love the long jacket, perfectly matched with the border of the saree and enhancing the look of the black monotone saree. This time around, I am posting it because the saree is being donned by Vasuki Sunkavalli, the winner of Miss India 2011 title.

She is onwards to Brazil for miss universe pageant and we wish her well. In fact, it is time that an Indian beauty won the world title.
