Love the delicate silk, love the blouse and how it seamlessly blends with the skin and the saree. I can even live with the bindi, but this gold necklace has to go!
I really dislike it when the jewelers keep giving us the same things in the name of tradition. Tradition is your guide, not your kidnapper.
I have discussed this several times; take a plain monotone saree and pair it with a highly embroidered blouse. Here is a nice example of it. I don’t want to say that this is a “classic” example, because there is some room for improvement here – the blouse color combination could have been different.

Shweta Menon is a renowned Indian model, television anchor and an award winning actress who has won several beauty pageants, and over 50 films across multiple languages to her credit.
She wears saree very very well; I have seen some of her stills in saree and otherwise and she looks “very free” in a saree – which can only happen if you are extremely comfortable wearing it.
