Oh.. how much I hate these anarkali blouses – Not sure if the belt is adding much either!
May be it is just me, but I know women are different. I don’t need to have their endowments painted red to point out the differences to me, please!

Nope, it’s not purple. When it arrived at my doorstep, I instantly fell in love with the beautiful burgundy colour – dark, deep, wine-red colour. I rarely come across plain burgundy colored sarees , I probably will grab everyone of them if I do.

Its not really a guess, there is only person who can do this and that is Nida Mahmood.
The image is from Nida Mahmood’s show at Wills India Fashion Week day 5 on 29th March 2010. She really deserved to show on the FIRST day of the Wills India Fashion show – the first day got cancelled and everybody got moved to the last day.
I hope she continues this trend of combining saree and jeans; because for it to be accepted, it needs a lot of exposure.
The concept is right, the combination is perfect. Tone down the hyperbole of the ramp and all one needs is an adjustment of degree on how much of the saree and how much of the denim to put in the cocktail!
She is the only one that pushes the envelope farther and I love her for that. More appropriately, she is the only one who thinks outside of the six yards of the saree and I adore her for that.
