Akshya Navy Queen
The Indian Navy in association with Akshaya Homes conducted Chennai’s first ever Akshaya Navy Queen contest in the city.
* Ms. Namratha, a sociology student of M.O.P Vaishnav College was crowned the Akshaya Navy Queen 2009
* Ms. Sunaina and Ms. Kim were the 1st and 2nd runner ups respectively
Not sure if she is the winner of the Navy Queen – but I hope not – at least not from the way the saree is draped.
I saw a brief video of it and was pleased to see the saree clad wide eyed contestants walking on the ramp.

I find everything about this so tacky; the overly done make-up, the ugly silver bikini blouse that makes her boob look like a steel bowl, the so-so saree, the horrible way it’s worn and most of all, the smudgy tattoo. I need to look at some of Rekha pics to cleanse my eye!
I don’t know what the status of this contest is, but she looks like a likes she ready to work the streets for money. She should be plenty of “business” dressed like this. Just awful.
