First Lady Gursharan Kaur of India, First Lady Michelle Obama, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh of India, and President Obama arrived for the state dinner.
She was wearing the same/similar saree when they met Bush

So clearly there is some significance there that I don’t understand.
One of the sarees that I remember making a note of was the once she wore at the SAARC meeting.

I have seen her a lots of different sarees, unlike the color of Manmohan Singh’s turban, her sarees display a lot more variety.
Ms. Kaur looks so stunning and classy in her simple black saree; she outshines both her husband and Michelle Obama (seriously, Barry needs to ditch her dead weight and get with the elegant and sophisticated creature that is Gursharan Kaur)!
Even I thought the same that she wore the same saree for both the state dinners. But isn’t it like the saree worn yesterday has “booti” work all over unlike the earlier one. Nice post. Thanks!
I am so glad you posted about Ms Kaur’s classy and timelessly elegant saris.
She looks so elegant and graceful. Yes, she repeats her sarees. The one worn at SAARC was reused at G20 2009. So what? At least she is smart and sensible in not spending her husband’s paycheck over materials, especially paid by the country’s citizens!!!
Kudos to Mrs. Kaur!.
