A british schoolteacher is torn between her two loves: her Indian Prince husband, and teaching at the local town well. The Memsahib is a lavish romance that spans cultures and time.

Here is the trailer for the movie. Watch it in HQ so you can appreciate the photography and the vibrant colors.

A film directed by talented director Kruti Majumdar and starring Emily Hamilton, Parvan Dabas and Sweta Keswani.

The Memsahib is a grand love story that explores what role destiny may have in our lives and loves. Kruti notes that:

“I did not originally set out to make a period film. Instead, it was important for me to illuminate what it means to be living on the fringes of “mainstream” society, especially during time of chance.”

The film was shot on location in Gujarat and captures the history and vibrancy and depth of Gujarati culture.

The DVD can now be purchased directly from the movie web site The Memsahib movie. The movie has won several awards and you won’t be disappointed.

I will post some more saree pictures from the movie in a week or so.
