I love Mandira – she is such a doll! And she has such an infectious smile – every time I look at her, I feel like smiling and very few women have that effect on me!
For republic day, she put on this orange, green and blouse saree (and thankfully, she avoided the Ashok Chakra) and showed us the hotness that an Indian woman is.
Here is the blouse design and the Aum tattoo. Wished I could show you her other Om tattoo, lets just say that it is sexier than this one!

that isn;t an Om tattoo it is an ik onkar tattoo (sikhism)
It literally means “single Aum”; one Aum – spiritually translated as single god. But the origin is Om.
See my aum blog
http://www.aumblog.com I have thousands of different versions of Aum there.
You can also see her other Aum tattoo there.
The sari (Satya Paul, peut-etre?) is so striking and so minimalist in its design that it needs little or no further embellishment, yet Ms. Bedi still chose to accessorize with silver bangles, a silver ring, a gold(?!?) ring, a tawdry sequin/rhinestone encrusted clutch, pearl earrings and the most unfortunate nose-job I have seen in quite some time. I won’t even discuss the tragic hair-color or creepy colored-contact-lenses. It’s a shame she could afford that beautiful sari, but not the style or class needed to pull it off.
Love the saree and blouse – hate the accessories…
