Not just for the fashion world, but the 2007 fashion event raised $$$ one of the uses of the fund includes:

3) A sewing Centre for girls from under privileged homes to be constructed at a cost of Rs 600,000/- within the premises of a temple in Welisara. Proposed to commence construction in March 2007, this Centre, approximately 500-600 Sq ft is expected to be fully functional by June 2007. The Club would provide the Centre with 12 Sewing machines and training would be under the auspices of the Ministry of Skills Development.
