Here is some information about Gurpreet Pia.

ImageGurpreet Pia Fleming, an FIT New York graduate and a NIFT, New Delhi graduate launched her line of luxury pret Bian in 2004, after extensive experience of handling private label for leading American and European designers over a period of 12 years. Bian -’The Mysterious’ in Vietnamese exemplifies class and sophistication that is understated yet glamorous. Pia’s Indian lineage and her contemporary New York life fuses cross cultural philosophies and heritage to create a modern, elegant and enigmatic collection. Indian crafts and colors accentuate refined silks and cottons to create feminine yet powerful collection. A label that she retails in USA, Italy, Middle East, India and Australia.

Gurpreet Pia’s lable is Bian.

Gurpreet tries to reinterpret sensuality as being subtle, clean and stylish and not just body revealing.

Her collection is embellished with French lace, Swarovski fine thread embroidery, pearls, zardozi and sequins. Using Japanese trims and textured Indian craft with hand embroideries she has created an elegant look.While there are a fair share of jackets and dresses, the saris stand out in characteristic elegance.

The gorgeous Jessica Alba , one of Hollywood’s reigning queens of hotness, is set to sizzle in a sari for the upcoming film, The Love Guru, where she’ll star alongside comedy heavyweight Mike Myers.

Boy, they always figure out a way to show more skin, don’t they?

Jessica Alba wearing a saree so that she can still show her beauty! It is a beautiful saree and the blouse looks interesting, and the drape is interesting as well.

I am trying to remember if I have seen this drape before or not; a picture doesn;t come to mind right away.

Anyway, I am pleased with her wearing a saree. I wanted to call it a faux saree, but I don’t see anything here that will make it a “faux”.

Alba splashes out in an orange sari during her raunchy Bollywood-style dance sequence in the Mike Myers comedy which opens in North America on June 20. Paramount Pictures is hard-selling the film across America with publicity stills showing Alba tantalisingly decked out in all the glory of a sari.

This fall, the Cheetah Girls are doing the Bollywood themed movie, so we will have teeny boppers trying out sarees and lenhga too!

Aishwarya in transparent black saree at Sarkar Raj – teaching us how to accessorize

Beautiful saree and spaghetti strap blouse. I think she can update her blouse a bit more, especially for a transparent saree as we have mentioned before, but we can talk about that at some other time.

What I want to point out here is, how to accessorize. Her earrings and her rings match the secondary color of the saree, perfect. the earrings and the rings, both have large matching pearls.

And the most important accessory that she is wearing, and it looks good on her, and it is an accessory that many woman forget to match, is that she has a good looking Sri KLM, which stands for (Kala, lamba, sundar – literal transaltion of Mr. tall, dark and handsom as referred to by a non-desi friend) on her side. Also notice that the Mr. accessory, who is perfectly color coordinated to Aishwarya’s outfit, is wearing colors similar to her saree and pallu (ivory tie would have been better, but white is good enough).

Just kidding… they make a cute couple and because of the silly Manglik issues and all that, I am hoping that they remain absolutely happy and in blissful marriage for a long long time, so one can point to this couple and say that, look, she was Manglik and they lived happily ever after, just like in a fairy tale.
