Something is off in this picture.
The saree seems fine, vermillion and black goes well, drape could have been slightly better but that’s not it, she has a beautiful smile, amulet looks great, so only thing that is off are .. glasses.
Glasses are making her look studious and geeky.
I have seen her in a different outfit but with the same glasses; perhaps they are prescription glasses, but then that is one more reason to make sure that the glasses enhance your look and not detract from it.
Sweta Salve is a TV actress who is truly multi talented – and she looks sexy in everything – from a sari that she wore for the Shobha De collection, to the sassy fringe dress that she danced in in Jhalak Dikhla De – to the steamy bikini in a recent Maxim shoot. This was one case where we could not honestly end with – “but she looks best in a sari” ……

She is wearing more gold than the rap singer 50 Cents. I can forgive her, she sure looks better than the 50 cents.

There are some color combinations that are guranteed to work and blacka nd red belongs in that class.

Love the way the saree is displayed; how the colors blend in with the surrounding.
sabayaschi mukherjee sarees are always distinctive; I am not saying that they are always the most glamourous or most attractive, but he does infuse the saree with a tectile dimension that I find refreshing.
Here is another one from his collection
His designs always at the edge of the accepted traditional way of using the fabric and texture.
