Aishwarya looks hot in a self striped red sari, with a shiny red on red embossed border. The blouse design is interesting with a wide strap gathered up and accentuated with a silver dragon fly. The accessorization is perfect. The sari is simple and is offset with a pair of expansive dangling silver earrings, the only part of the ensemble that is loud and bold.

Kamilinee Mukherjee Saree

A simple saree, printed blouse, slightly dated but very pleasing nonetheless.
blouse design – a slit in the back

It sounds simple but it is not; this is from Satya Paul design. An interesting thought for sure.
Another thing you could do is to take a fabric that is very close to your skin color and use it as the lining for the saree blouse; so when you put the blouse on, it fits nicely but at the same time, it gives the hint of an open design.
WILF – Ashima Leena’s Structured saree 2008
OK, I’ll show you the picture first:

I know the human mind wants to see everything nicely organized; everything right in it’s place; every extra piece of fabric tucked in to its right place.
It is so tempting to take the saree, which is by its design, or as some might say — due to lack of a design, is very unstructured; and put some loops here and tassels there to contain it.
I find it fun to try it and enjoy watching other designers make an attempt at it. The problem is that in an attempt to offer structure to a part of the saree, one is forced to put the saree on tight contours.
So this looks like a structured saree or automatic saree or prestiched saree, and the effort is laudable.
Aishwarya Rai in a green sari
Aishwarya does not often don large pieces of jewelry as she does here, but it works. The bold necklace and large dangling earrings pick up the gold, red and green hues in the sari. The sari is a green crêpe silk, with a traditional Gujarati style border and a floral motif all over the sari. The gold strappy blouse is simple and understated.

Bipasha in a white sari — hot or not!
We all know that if there is anybody who can look hot in a simple white sari it is Bipasha Basu! But come on Bips – there is no excuse to wear a sari like it is a beach wrap thrown over a bikini (even if you are in Cannes)!

Bipasha at two different events wearing white saris. Hot or not–you be the judge.
